| The month of May offers some of our favorite races of the season, one taking place in our backyard and the other to which we owe our name.
Amgen Tour of California: May 11th – 18th
The ninth edition of North America’s premiere stage race looks to be an action-packed battle of many of the world’s top cycling teams. The eight-day event includes a time trial and two mountain top finishes and covers most of the Golden State. Giro’s sponsored teams at the Amgen Tour of California include the BMC Racing Team.
Giro d’Italia: May 9th - June 1st
The Giro d’Italia is often described as the most beautiful bike race in the world. In the 97th year of the Giro d’Italia, cyclists from 22 teams will line up in Belfast, Ireland, then travel to (and race throughout) Italy. Along with the Tour de France and Vuelata a Espana, the Giro makes up cycling’s prestigious three-week-long Grand Tours and showcases some of the world’s most talented riders. Giro’s sponsored teams at the Giro d’Italia include Team Katusha and the BMC Racing Team.
