At the Stage 1 finish line, the 2019 Tour de France yellow jersey would go not to Peter Sagan and his Specialized S-Works Venge, but to Team Jumbo-Visma’s Mike Teunissen and his Bianchi Oltre XR4. The aero road bike features a fully integrated cockpit, complete with a Vision Metron 5D flattened aero bar, and a carbon fiber frame engineered to reduce vibrations over the grueling stages. Bianchi offers builds with Shimano Ultegra and Dura-Ace (Di2 and mechanical), SRAM Red eTap AXS, and Campagnolo Super Record drivetrains; Teunissen’s bike had Dura-Ace Di2 and, notably, rim brakes.

Teunissen rode Dura-Ace wheels instead of the Fulcrum’s that Bianchi specs on the Oltre XR4 Dura-Ace Di2 bike. The tires were also different, but this is otherwise the yellow jersey-winner’s ride.

At the current exchange rate, the Tour’s fastest Oltre XR4 (with Fulcrum wheels instead of Dura-Ace) will run you $10,771.04. Jumbo-Visma’s apparel sponsor is AGU, which sells replica team kits, socks, and gloves for anyone looking to jump on the early Teunissen bandwagon. We poured over the rest of his gear to bring you the fastest accessories of the Tour so far.
